The Western Branch Soccer Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to the task of promoting and enhancing the culture of soccer in Chesapeake Virginia. Established in 1995; we are players, parents, coaches, and board members. Our efforts and energies are directed to the following objectives: We strive to develop players at all levels of play – Recreation, Advance & Select – by building and improving their skills, confidence, fitness, initiative and a sense of teamwork; We promote and encourage high standards of sportsmanship and fair play; We are committed to developing coaches to the highest level through a quality instructional program. Members are encouraged to run for elected office. WBSC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, gender, religion, disability, age, political affiliation or belief, disabled veteran, or citizenship status (except in those special circumstances permitted or mandated by law). WBSC is currently members of SAY and VYSA. With each Organization meeting the particular needs of each team. The Advance teams play under SAY (Soccer Association for Youth), and the Select teams play under VYSA (Virginia Youth Soccer Association). The Select teams play under the umbrella of Virginia Soccer League Inc. (VSLI). While the Advanced teams play under Tidewater Advance Soccer League (TASL).
