The mission of the MYB Soccer Program is to teach children how to play soccer in a safe, healthy and positive environment. Starting at the earliest stage of U6, we want to grow and develop soccer players who are skillful and competent in all aspects of the game and give them a sound foundation to build on, whatever their ultimate goals. Our coaches must keep in mind that we are teaching the volunteer soccer coaches, club administrators and fans of tomorrow in more cases than we are developing the next Mia Hamm or David Beckham. The program’s success is measured in terms of player retention and growth in the number of teams – not the number of trophies in our case or players that get college scholarships.
