The mission of the Lower Macungie Youth Association is to provide all youth athletes an opportunity to play a team sport in a supportive and rewarding environment emphasizing fun and skill development, at a level suitable to their interest and ability, and to create a challenging environment that enhances opportunities for players aspiring to participate at higher levels of competition. Using the ideals of sport, LMYA fosters the development of positive citizenship qualities in our youth while promoting a healthy lifestyle, and a spirit of sportsmanship and cooperation. The purpose of the Lower Macungie Youth Association Intramural Soccer Program is to provide the opportunity for boys and girls to develp basic soccer skills and teamwork in a stress-free and fun environment. LMYA strives to promote sportsmanship and character in our players, coaches, parents, and fans. Our mission is to instill physical, mental, and emotional growth of the participants through the sport of soccer. Lower Mac carries travel teams from U9 to U19, both Girls and Boys who play at Travel, Premier and Select League levels. There are opportunities for children to “play up”. This is defined as a player who wants to play a year ahead of their peers and is governed by our Parent Leagues rules. That league is Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association or EPYSA.
