Girls Inc. of Greater Los Angeles serves more than 1,200 girls annually, aged 6 to 18. Most are from single parent households that fall below the poverty level. All girls in our program are encouraged to reach their highest potential regardless of their gender, economic status, or social, cultural or religious backgrounds. Girls Inc. advocates for social change: from promoting and defending girls’ rights and equitable educational opportunities to supporting anti-violence legislation. Girls Inc. is on the forefront of the public and policy debates that affect all girls’ lives.
