A collaboration of the Southwest YMCA and the City of San Jose, ASEP is a grant-funded after-school program available to children, grades 1-5, for little or no cost to families. Our curriculum fosters the YMCA character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility while strengthening developmental assets, the building blocks children need to thrive. Highly qualified YMCA staff provide and supervise thematic, child-centered curriculum. Activities include homework assistance, arts and crafts, youth fitness, science, and special club activities.
