Detail: The YMCA of Central Ohio preschool curriculum focuses on Social Interaction, Physical Development, Kindergarten Readiness and Character Development. Many of our preschools offer 2, 3 and 5 day a week programing designed for different developmental levels.ÿWe serve Preschool age children ages 3-5 years. Each of our classes is composed of a Lead Teacher and or Assistant Teacher, who was interviewed and hired by the YMCA Child Care Department. Their qualifications and or experiences in the Early Childhood Development field are the reason they were hired. All staff members receive continuous on site training as well as attendance at workshops and conferences. We strive at our center to maintain a low child/adult classroom ratio. Our goals and methods are endorsed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. We believe that a quality childcare center should be family centered, and represent a cooperative effort by both parents and teachers. At the Jerry L. Garver YMCA the daily well being of your child is of utmost importance to us. Special events and volunteering for committees at the center are opportunities for you to have fun with the staff and other parents.
