The YMCA of the North Shore believes that our childcare programs are an extension of the home. We seek to partner with children and adults in their daily functioning, to relieve stress, and to provide the necessary resources that will strengthen the family unit that we believe is the foundation for a healthy community, society and world. The YMCA advocates for all parents in their efforts to be responsible caregivers who are concerned with developmentally appropriate activities, practices, and programs for their children. YMCA Infant/Toddler programs provide a safe, wholesome environment in which children can learn to communicate, cooperate and care about each other. The Salem Early Learning Center cares and nurtures children ages 6 weeks though 2.9 years. Our YMCA ensures that all children receive care in a safe and healthy environment. The staff set the stage for each child to learn at his/her own pace.
