The YMCA's mission is to be an association of individuals with shared values which enhance our community with programs for the spirit, mind and body. With an overall objective to build strong kids, strong families and a strong community, our methods include the use of a nationally recognized 'Character Counts' theme, where the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility is infused in all programs and activities. We subscribe to the Search Institutes 'Asset Development' foundation, providing participants with safe places, supportive and caring relationships and opportunities for personal growth.
