The Marshall Bright Futures program works to build a community held together by trusting friendships, respectful dialogue, and good-spirited celebration of individuality. We believe that the path to a successful future is paved by the relationships we build and our efforts to collectively support one another towards our respective goals. Our program emphasizes the cultivation of student-voice and governance. Our approach stresses strong adult mentoring and support. Our goal is to offer a “tool-box” to help guide youth towards self -awareness, confidence, and advocacy. We believe that we learn through engaging experiences. Thus, we find it essential that students are given opportunities to explore academics through various lenses, to organize service projects, and to practice planning and leadership techniques. We deeply value collaborations with and input from our Bright Futures families, community members, and Marshall teachers. These partnerships help our program provide more meaningful experiences for our youth. At Marshall Bright Futures we call ourselves, BFF’s. By the end of the year we’re more than friends - we are a Bright Futures Family! We meet 3:20 p.m. - 6:20 p.m. every Monday through Thursday (excluding school breaks and snow days). We also offer a six-week summer program that runs the second half of June through the month of July. Additionally, we offer several field trips and a number of engaging and educational family nights throughout the year.
