Pinole Karate in recent years has shifted its focus from training effective tournament fighters to shaping the lives of children for the better by instilling upon them the importance of physical fitness, respect, and discipline.
At Pinole Karate Kajukenbo is taught. It is an eclectic system made up from many systems. It is a mixed martial art made up from Karate, Ju-Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Kenpo and Chinese Boxing (also known as Kung Fu).
Every class at Pinole Karate is goal oriented.
Physical Fitness
The first hour of the class is compromised of a combination of aerobic exercise, calisthenics, and yoga.
Confidence Building
Confidence will build with gains in athletic ability and martial arts technique(fighting skills), a person can improve their status in life by becoming more goal oriented and determined to succeed.
Focus and Concentration
Through the martial arts a person often will improve school grades. With the discipline of the arts people learn to listen better.
Sensei Stuart Rowe has has been teaching Kajukenbo in the area since 1967 and is a 9th degree black belt. His lifelong career in training and competing in Kajujenbo Karate spans over forty years including many trophy and title wins.
4 time California Karate Champion, winning a championship in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.
