SMYSA (Stone Mountain Youth Soccer Association) is a volunteer, non-profit organization supporting and promoting the game of soccer and has been in existence since 1982. SMYSA's Three-Fold Mission: 1. Provide quality soccer training 2. Establish a clear path for athletes to advance from recreational/beginner soccer to competitve/advanced levels 3. Increase awareness of the many benefits awarded to soccer students and athletes. At SMYSA many young girls put on their first pair of cleats at SMYSA and understand that soccer like most sports is not just for boys. Over time our SMYSA girls have grown and excelled under SMYSA training. It is evident that ballet and other individual sports have their benefits, however, SMYSA soccer does so much more. While in grooming, SMYMA girls have become mindful of both team and individual winning strategies along with communication skills that will stay with them for a lifetime.

I coached SMYSA's first traveling team. The Outlaws. One of the years biggest games was when we played Mike Balson Academy. He was the 900 lb gorilla back in the day. It was an incredible game with 100's watching. Outlaws 2 Balson cfx 1. Just a bit of history from back in the day
