BASA was formed in order to promote the sport of soccer in the Barrington area; to promote and encourage the sport, pleasure, exercise and recreation of its members; to promote sociability and friendship among its members; and to manage and conduct entertainment excursions and social meetings of its members. The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. In order to fulfill our mission, we have worked hard to assemble the most highly educated and experienced coaching staff in the state of Illinois. We are extremely proud of this accomplishment as it is of primary importance in providing our players the opportunity to improve their skills and reach their goals. At the same time, we also maintain our focus that sport should be fun and help promote sportsmanship, leadership, and understanding. By providing continuing education programs for our coaches, we actively attempt to insure that these goals remain a priority for our entire staff. We have been pursuing this goal since our inception in 1992. We currently have over 1300 families participating in our program and have become an integral part of the Barrington community.
