Lion of Judah Martial Arts was started in May of 2001 by head instructor David Zellner.

His goal in beginning the program was to bring together all of the things that he had

learned over his 12 years experience in martial arts. The program is a blend of realistic

self-defense using practical weapons (both Okinawan and Japanese) along with empty

hand techniques.The one thing that makes Lion of Judah Martial Arts different from other

curriculums is our underlying philosophy. Lion of Judah Martial Arts is a Christian-based

family-oriented organization and we do teach and talk about Judeo-Christian principles

and strong moral values in our classes. Parents will never have to worry about their

children being taught the Eastern religions, mysticism or new age philosophies that often

come with Far East martial arts instruction. The safety of our students is also taken very

seriously in all classes. All Lion of Judah instructors are trained in first-aid and CPR

certified.Our main goal is to empower our students, to prepare them to face any

challenge that might come against them, whether physically, mentally or spiritually.

We strive to instill in our students the self-discipline, self-confidence, physical fitness,

clean moral character, perseverance and self-control that is needed to succeed in

today's world.
