Alexandre Novaes is the owner and lead instructor of Novaes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy. Alexandre began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) training at the age of 15 in Rio de Janeiro, the birthplace of BJJ. Alexandre has been a BJJ practitioner for over 24 years. He received his black belt in 1999 under Jorge Pereira, a disciple of Rickson Gracie. Alexandre is currently a Third Degree black belt. Alexandre is an international champion and he is highly respected within the BJJ community.
