Founded in 1984 by Shigeru Oyama and his brother Yasuhiko, The World Oyama Karate Organization currently has 150 branches in 19 countries, including Japan, America, Europe, and the Middle East.



After being established, highlighted as a practical style of genuine karate incorporated into Japan's traditional Karate, Oyama was praised as a superior Karate Master by the late Ronald Reagan in 1985.



In short, a feature of Oyama Karate is the application of a practical style that stresses impact, which differs from the non-contact point system that has spread throughout America.
